I don’t think you’ll ever truly understand what that evening meant to me.
For almost two years, I kept imagining the day I’d finally get to see you in person. In between those years, I sailed across oceans, spent months away from everything familiar, and experienced places most people only dream of. But none of those moments ever compared to the moment I saw you walking towards me.
The truth is, I barely noticed anything else that evening.
I wasn’t looking at the restaurant, the food, or the people around us. I was looking at you. At how incredibly beautiful you looked. At the way you smiled. At the confidence, kindness, and warmth you carry so effortlessly. I remember thinking to myself, “She’s even more beautiful than I imagined.”
When you fed me during dinner, it may have seemed like a small gesture to you, but it’s a memory I’ll carry with me forever. It made me feel loved in a way that words never could.
Returning back home was the hardest part of the night because I knew our time together was ending. But as the cab (I hope u remember something) drove back, I wasn’t sad.
I just kept smiling.
Because after everything, after all the waiting, all the distance, all the months at sea, I finally got to hold a memory that was real. A memory of us.
And in that moment, I realized something I’ll never forget:
You were worth every mile, every month, every moment of waiting.
If life asked me to do it all over again—to wait another two years just to have that one evening with you—I wouldn’t hesitate.
I’d choose you.
Again.
And again.
And every single time after that.
Thank you for giving me a memory I’ll cherish for the rest of my life.
I love you.❤️
